LAMPPOSTS in Berechurch have been adorned with large poppies and silhouettes of a ‘Tommy’ soldier thanks to the efforts of a councillor.
Dave Harris, who is a Labour councillor for the Berechurch ward, has raised money from residents who have donated to the cause, with many being strong supporters of the British legion.
Mr Harris said: “Some people are sponsoring in memory of a loved one, others on behalf of organisations such as Shrub End Residents Association.
“Once Remembrance Day has passed, an official handover to British legion will be taking place.”
