A FOOTBALL club is offering fans free entry to its games to help kick-off Brightlingsea’s WinterFest celebrations.
Brightlingsea Regent will dish out fifty free tickets for its matches taking place in December and January ahead of the forthcoming festival in 2023.
The football club has already shown its support for WinterFest by having the festival's logo on its away shirts.
The generous offer for people living in Brightlingsea and Thorrington will give a further boost to the bond between WinterFest and the football club.
Tom Doherty, commercial manager for Brightlingsea Regent, said: “This will give local people the chance to come and enjoy the great action and atmosphere at the two games and will help reinforce our valued link with WinterFest.”
The offer applies for the game against Carshalton Athletic on December 17 and Bishops Stortford on January 2.
With children allowed to enter for free, the value of the donated tickets is about £600.
WinterFest crew member Eamonn Lorimer said: “This is brilliant news from Brightlingsea Regent FC and we are very grateful to them for their generosity.”
The tickets are available to Brightlingsea or Thorrington residents.
To apply, you should email brightlingseawinterfest@gmail.com.
