A MEMBER of a family which was last seen on Thursday may have been spotted in Harwich as recently as Saturday, police say.
Constance Marten, Mark Gordon, and their newborn child have been missing since their car broke down on the M61 near Bolton, Lancashire, last week.
But a recent CCTV image has been released by Greater Manchester Police, who believe is Ms Marten has been seen in Harwich.
Ms Marten has been urged to make contact with the police and seek medical assistance.
A police statement from chief superintendent Michaela Kerr, Greater Manchester Police’s head of public protection, read: “As a mum, I would like to make a direct appeal to Constance.
"Constance, I know this is an exceptionally hard time for you and you are likely feeling scared, but I promise that our number one priority is the same as yours – to keep your beautiful newborn safe.
“If you have any information about this family's whereabouts, please do nothing more than contact emergency services."
Essex Police has confirmed they are liaising with Greater Manchester Police, who are leading the search.
Anybody who has information about Ms Marten and her family’s whereabouts should contact Greater Manchester Police on 999, and quote incident number 2657 of Thursday, January 5, 2023.
