A COLCHESTER man is among seven arrests made since Monday morning, Essex Police has said.
Officers from the force’s Operational Support Group seized two vehicles and made the arrests as they work to keep the county safe.
They made arrests relating to theft of a motor vehicle, robbery, and theft from shops, on Monday.
A person from Colchester and a duo from South Ockenden were arrested after officers discovered they were wanted on recall to prison.
A further arrest was made for a man who was wanted on a warrant for not attending court to answer a charge of robbery.
Two cars were also seized for no insurance.
Chief Inspector Richard Baxter, who leads the OSG, said: “My team work every day around the county to support teams from across the force target high harm offenders and keep the public safe.
“This is really important work and means victims of crime can get justice.
“We will tackle all crimes to make sure that our communities are safeguarded from those who cause harm to our communities. “They will continue to do this today and every day to protect and serve Essex.”
