THE forthcoming Northern Gateway Leisure Park promises to transform both the physical and economic landscape of north Colchester and beyond.
When it finally opens this autumn the £65million complex will boast a Travelodge, bowling alley, cinema, Jump Street and much more.
But what restaurants and eateries will be on offer once the Turnstone Estates development gets off the ground?
Earlier this week the Gazette revealed how four more food brands had committed to opening on the vast leisure and retail park.
These include a Kervan Kitchen, regional buffet operator providing global cuisine, an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant and a gelato hub.
The identities of the new restaurants have yet to be confirmed but the buffet operator will occupy a 4,000 sq ft site and the Gelato and Mediterranean restaurants will both move into a 3,200 sq ft unit.

In addition to the quartet of new restaurants unveiled this week, the park will also be home to American burger joint Wendy’s and British institution Greggs, who had already signed on the dotted line.
The fast-food outlet and much-loved bakery brand will each boast a drive-thru on the site, which will encompass a whopping 200,000 square-feet.
Speaking previously, Chris Goldsmith, managing director of Turnstone Estates, said: “These signings reflect occupational demand for this state-of-the art leisure scheme."
