AN investigation has been launched after crooks smashed into a car before snatching a woman’s £1,000 Mulberry bag and Apple AirPods, as well as her driving licence.

Essex Police are looking into a report filed by Flavia Maria, 24, after her light blue Fiat 500 was broken into on Thursday at about 8.30pm.

At the time of the incident, the trainee solicitor’s vehicle was parked inside an enclosed garage in Quayside Drive, Colchester.

Flavia, who has lived in the UK since 2018 having moved from Romania, says she has been left shaken-up by the ordeal and no longer feels safe.
