A Colchester beauty clinic is celebrating after being shortlisted for two top industry awards. 

Evie Davies Aesthetics and Beauty Academy in the city has been shortlisted in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards in the Best For Aesthetics and Best New Salon category. 

The salon was set up by Evie Davies to offer an exclusive range of industry-leading and non-surgical cosmetic treatments. 

The salon also offers beauty treatments and laser treatments to customers.

Evie said she was delighted with the nominations.

She said: "I am always on the move, attending training sessions, gaining new qualifications and learning new techniques.

"I want to be the best at what I do, so for that reason, I gain more knowledge from practitioners and doctors around the world.

"Currently, I'm training for Aesthetics Medicine level 7 and in April time doing my Tattoo Artist Diploma."

Evie started this year with the official training academy, and will soon offer funded courses.

She also plans to expand her offer with massages and other treatments on the cards. 

She added: "I am so proud of what I achieved by now and that I can officially open my salon after a few years of hard work.

"I love my job as its my passion, but the most important for me is to help people and make a change to give them the confidence and self-love they need."
