AN authentic Indian restaurant has closed to customers looking to dine inside “until future notice” while improvement works are carried out.
Raj Palace, in North Station Road, Colchester, has decided to temporarily shut its doors until the completion of an exciting rejuvenation project.
The popular eatery, which has a 5.2 star out of 6 rating on online food ordering brand Just Eat, will continue to offer its takeaway and delivery services.
It is currently unknown how long the restaurant will be closed for nor what internal changes will be made to the traditional food destination.
Notices, however, have been placed on public display in the windows of Raj Palace, thanking customers for their patience and understanding.
The posters read: “The restaurant will be closed until further notice due to refurbishment.
“The takeaway, delivery, and collection will be open as usual. Thank you.”
Raj Palace specialises in offering the finest Indian dishes and during the coronavirus pandemic was one of several restaurants to extend its Eat Out To Help Out Offer.
Its menu consists of everything from onion bhaji, tandoori dishes and chicken tikka masala to kebabs, curries and chicken omelette and chips.
