The body of a man in his 80s has been found in the River Stour in a village.
Emergency services were called at about 4.30pm on Tuesday to reports of a person in the river at Nayland, close to Wissington.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said crews from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and ambulance crews were also called to assist at the scene.
The man was confirmed to have died after being rescued from the water.
The man - aged in his 80s - has not yet been formally identified, but his next of kin have been informed, the spokesman said.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but is not believed to be suspicious.
