PARTNERS and staff at a legal firm were visited by top Colchester Army representatives.

GoodyBurrett LLP welcomed the commanding officer of the 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel William Hunt and Warrant Officer Mike Firth, into their Colchester office.

They paid the firm a visit to witness the signing of the Armed Forces Covenant pledge, a voluntary gesture to show support for the armed forces community.

The partners at GoodyBurrett were keen to support the pledge, believing that those who serve in the armed forces, alongside their families, should be treated fairly.

Helen Firth, partner and head of private client department at GoodyBurrett said: “Being part of a military family myself, I am committed to supporting the Military community as I feel that I have a good understanding of what Military families experience in day-to-day life.”

The firm also offers discounts on some legal services for armed forces members and provides outreach services at a free legal clinic run at the Colchester Barracks.

The clinic is held on the last Wednesday of each month, with appointments available through the Army Welfare Service at the Colchester Barracks.
