VARIETY performers famous for their appearance on a television talent programme are set to bring their unique brand of showmanship to Colchester.

The Sugar Dandies will bring their Spring Fling Tea Party to the Greenstead Social Club, in Hawthorn Avenue, on March 26.

Taking place in association with Colchester Arts Centre, the show will see Britain’s favourite trolley dollies lead an afternoon tea dance with a twist.

The two-piece, as seen on Britain’s Got Talent, will serve up the perfect brew of performance, social dancing, and good old fashioned party games.

There will also be a very special guest appearance from Black Elvis, who will entertain the audience with toe-tapping rendition of the King’s most well-loved songs.

An event spokesman said: “We are very grateful for support from Essex County Council’s Arts and Culture Fund for this event.

“So, dust off the glad rags, put your dancing shoes on and join Colchester Arts Centre at Greenstead Community Centre for a very special treat.

“Be ready to join in the fun. Revellers of all ages welcome. Tea and cake included.”

Tickets for the show, which will run from 2pm until 4pm, cost £5 and can be purchased by visiting colchesterartscentre.com or calling 01206 500900.
