AN Aldi supermarket branch is to close for five days from tonight as it prepares for a full refurbishment.
The Cowdray Avenue Aldi will close at its normal time of 10pm on Friday evening and will remain shut from Saturday through until Wednesday.
It will reopen for customers at its normal time of 8am on Thursday, March 23.
The refurbishment comes one year after another Aldi supermarket, the Magdalen Street branch, was closed for two weeks as it underwent a major refit.
On Friday, Aldi also announced it is giving all store colleagues in Essex a pay rise from July, with starting pay for store assistance increasing to £11.40 per hour.
