FRANK Nouble says Colchester United will always be a part of his heart after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
The 31-year-old forward was due to see his deal end this summer and now both parties have decided to part ways.
Nouble made more than 150 appearances for Colchester, during his different spells for the club.

Writing on social media, Nouble said: ‘Corrrr made some great great memories # Cup run facing Manchester United away # playoff year # survival season in covid times Scoring few bangers for this club along the way! & friends over the 4/5years 💙🤍 always be part of my heart ❤️ One 🚪 closes another 🚪opens ….Supporters have been nothing but great to me and my family during my period I think I’ve give the same back all my energy in person and online.’
Nouble first joined Colchester in the summer of 2018, after leaving their League Two rivals Newport County.
He was an integral part of John McGreal’s side, as the U’s finished eighth and sixth before losing to Exeter City in the League Two play-off semi-finals.

Nouble left Colchester to sign for Plymouth Argyle in the summer of 2020, but returned to the U’s on loan in the January 2021 transfer window.
The former West Ham United youngster’s move to Colchester became permanent in the summer of 2021 and he went on to add 50 further appearances for the club.

However, after playing regularly under Wayne Brown in the opening months of the season, Nouble found himself out of favour under Matt Bloomfield and he will now look for pastures new, after leaving the U’s.
