A YOUNG girl who is fascinated by the police and whose artwork is inspired by the force experienced a day she is not likely to forget in a hurry.
Bobbies on the beat from Essex Police Tendring’s Harwich Community Policing Team were given the privilege of meeting amazing Elise on Monday.
The meeting was arranged after Elise, who has an unwavering passion for policing and justice, decided to put pen to paper and draw two police-themed pictures.
One of the images depicts a police car and an officer, while the other appears to highlight all the roles and responsibilities of the area’s committed police force.
After her pictures caught the force’s attention, Elise was invited to present her works in-person to local officers who were left more than impressed with her efforts.
As a way of saying thank you for her brilliant drawings, Elise was also shown around a police car and even got to use the emergency lights and flashing sirens.
Unsurprisingly, getting behind the wheel of a police car was something she thoroughly “enjoyed”.
Her images have also now taken pride of place on the wall inside the Harwich Community Policing Team’s headquarters for all to see.
A spokesman for Essex Police Tendring said: “Thank you Elise."
