A MOTORIST who undertook another driver in Colchester has been fined.
Matthew Zammit, 34, was driving in Clingoe Hill on September 17 last year when the offence took place.
Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard he was in the right-hand lane before cutting into the left lane to undertake a vehicle in front of him before Zammit pulled back into the right lane.
The offence of driving without due care was proven by magistrates in the absence of Zammit, of Vaughan Drive, Elmstead.
He was handed six penalty points and ordered to pay £726 in a fine, surcharge and costs.
