NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to some of Colchester’s best bars, restaurants, pub and nightclubs.

The Food Standards Agency’s website has revealed its new ratings for 11 Colchester establishments, including KFC and Mersea Island Fish Bar.

Colchester Leisure World, Wan Fung House, Two Brews of Essex and Bills Restaurant have also been given new ratings.

The ratings given out by the Food Standards Agency range 0, which means urgent improvement is required, to 5, which means hygiene standards are very good.
