UNPLANNED emergency repairs have left an area of north Essex without power this evening.
The power cut affects properties in the CO6 1 postcode area - including Coggeshall, Marks Tey, Broad Green and Great Tey.
UK Power Networks have advised on their website they've "had to turn off power in [the] area so engineers can safely carry out emergency repairs to the network".
It is estimated power will be restored between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.

A statement posted just after 7pm tonight advises: "Engineers are now on site, carrying out investigations into the fault. Once they have completed their assessment, they will carry out repairs.
"We’re sorry for any disruption this may have caused you. We didn’t know in advance there would be a power cut but now that we know, our teams will do everything they can to get your power back quickly."
