A TEENAGER has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Colchester.

The victim, who’s in his 30s, was found injured in Magdalen Street at around 11pm on Friday (March 31).

He was taken to hospital in a serious condition after sustaining stab wounds.

An 18 year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards.

Joseph Little, of St Marys Close, Panfield, has now been charged with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, criminal damage, and affray.

He’s due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesda, April 5).

Two other people arrested – an 18 year-old man and a 16 year-old boy – have been released on bail until 12 June.

District Commander for Colchester, Chief Inspector Colin Cox, said: “I know this incident will have caused concern but Colchester is a safe place.

“We continue to work hard to target violence in all its forms”.
