MAJOR diversions will be in place on the A12 this weekend as repairs to the road continue.
At 8pm on Friday, the A12 southbound will be closed from Junction 13 at Ingatestone to Junction 16 at Billericay whilst National Highways reconstruct the A12 Margaretting Bypass.
The southbound carriageway will remain closed until 6am on Monday, April 17.
During the closure, traffic heading from Colchester towards London will be diverted along the A130 towards Southend before travelling west along the A127 past Basildon and onwards to Romford.
