A WOMAN accused of attempting to murder two ten-year-olds is to appear in court next week ahead of a full trial in May.
Ann Marie McEvoy, of Church Walk, Colchester, was arrested in November following an eight hour stand-off with police at an address near Boston, Lincolnshire.
Police negotiated with the 40-year-old before forcing entry to the address nearly eight hours later.
She was remanded into custody at HMP Peterborough.
McEvoy is now set to appear in Lincoln Crown Court next Monday as part of an administrative legal procedure before a full trial – likely to last a week – takes place in May.
The date for McEvoy’s trial has been set for Monday, May 15 when she will be tried on four separate offences.
McEvoy faces one charge of attempting to wound with intent, and another charge of threatening a person with an offensive weapon or bladed article.

Two charges of attempting to murder a child on Wednesday November 30 are also being made against McEvoy.
No pleas were entered by McEvoy when she appeared in Lincoln Magistrates’ Court in December.
