An Italian restaurant in the heart of Colchester has been celebrating King Charles III’s upcoming coronation.
Located on Museum St near the Castle, Alpacino opened for business in 2021.
The restaurant has already been getting into the Coronation spirit with events including a Motown and Soul night.
Over the bank holiday it will be hosting a brunch with afrobeats on Saturday April 29 from 2pm-7pm.
This will include Afro-Italian fusions such as jollof rice and suya pizza, as well as vegan and vegetarian options.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Alpacino said: “Our restaurant has always been a place where people from all walks of life can come together to enjoy delicious Italian cuisine and celebrate the richness of cultural diversity.
“We believe that the new city status and the coronation of the king is an opportunity for us to come together as a community and celebrate our shared values of inclusivity and respect.”
