THE Sun Inn pub and restaurant has been a favourite of many stars over the years - but what makes it so special?
The historic Dedham eatery and watering hole is situated in a 15th-century village coaching inn in the heart of Constable country.
The pub holds great events, including its annual beer festival in the generous gardens to the rear of the building and boasts a gorgeous countryside setting.
It has been owned by Piers Baker since 2003 and has grown to be a popular pub loved by stars including Sting, actor and presenter Griff Rhys Jones, Frank Lampard and his wife Christine Bleakley and the actors from the Inbetweeners.
The prestigious menu often changes based on market availability as much of the food is sourced locally.
Some of the unique items on the current menu include Mersea Oysters, chicken katsu bun, Ardleigh asparagus, Suffolk brie and more.
They also serve a roast dinner on Sundays and have a large wine list selection.
The pub is also listed on the Michelin Guide for its “generous Mediterranean- inspired dishes”.
A spokesman for Michelin said: “A characterful yellow inn with an appealing shabby-chic style, located in a picturesque spot in the heart of Constable Country.
“The highly seasonal menu offers generous Mediterranean-inspired dishes and the well-chosen wine list offers plenty by the glass.
“Bedrooms are cosy – two have a modern New England style.”
