PLANS to bring another Greggs bakery to Colchester have taken a step closer to completion.
The new site at the Northern Gateway has had its application to put signs up approved.
The application went in last month, to place signs outside what will be the brand’s seventh store in the city.
The proposal made to Colchester Council was for four fascia signs for the new drive-thru.
Images in the planning application show the building will boast the brand's signature blue and orange branding.
Colchester Council has already approved plans for six signs and drive-thru information at the Northern Gateway site.

Restaurants Wendy’s and Greggs also be on the site, which is due to open later this year.
Greggs already has shops in High Street, Long Wyre Street, St Christopher Road, Stane Park and at Stanway Retail Park.
Colchester Council has also given the green light to put up signs at 40 Culver Street West.
The building was previously used by JD Sports which is now based in Lion Walk Shopping Centre.
