THOUSANDS of Covid boosters will continue to be offered to the elderly and those who are immunosuppressed over the coming weeks.
According to NHS figures, a total of 18,914 booster jabs were given out to members of the public last week.
Last Monday alone, 5,006 jabs were administered in the Suffolk and north east Essex area.
Those over the age of 75 remain eligible for spring Covid booster jabs, as do those over the age of five who have been diagnosed with weakened immune systems.
On Thursday a walk-in clinic will open at the Hythe Pharmacy for those between the ages of 12 and 74 who are immunosuppressed, with the clinic operating from 2pm until 4.30pm.
On Friday a walk-in booster clinic will open at St Cedd’s Hall in Iceni Way, where staff will administer jabs between 12.30pm and 4.30pm.
Then, next Wednesday, a booster clinic for those over the age of 75 will open at Bluebell Resource Centre, in Jack Andrews Drive, from 10am until 4pm.
