A RENOWNED scientist turned television star will explore fascinating discoveries when he stages his new show in Colchester.
Professor Brian Cox will appear at Charter Hall, in Cowdray Avenue, on March 27 next year as part of his new Horizons tour.
During his performance the certified brainbox will use state-of-the-art screen technology to show images of far-away galaxies, alien worlds and supermassive black holes.
He will also delve into the latest theories regarding the origin of the universe and look to answer mindboggling questions about the nature of space and time and the beginning of life.
Professor Cox's previous sell-out tour broke two Guinness World Records and he will no doubt be hoping his return to regional theatres proves just as popular.
Horizons, which details how we came to be, and what we can become, has so far been enjoyed by more than 250,000 people, across three continents, on what has already been a dazzling journey for the show.
Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday at 10am and can be purchased by visiting bit.ly/44H0C3f.
