FORMER Colchester United midfielder Ben Stevenson has been released by relegated League One side Forest Green Rovers.
Stevenson, who was part of the Gloucestershire club's League Two title-winning side in the 2021/22 season, is one of a number of players to depart the club, following the announcement of their retained list.
Luke McGee, Lewis Thomas, Baily Cargill, Jordan Moore-Taylor and Regan Hendry are also among those departing.

Stevenson made nearly 100 league and cup appearances for Colchester, having initially joined them on loan in January, 2018.
The former Coventry City youngster signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the U's when he joined them on a permanent basis from Wolves in January, 2019.

Stevenson, 26 left Colchester in the summer of 2021, following the expiry of his contract.
He made 35 appearances for Forest Green this season, as they were relegated back to League Two at the first time of asking.
