POLICE are investigating a city centre mugging after a teenage boy was forced to hand over money in broad daylight.

The victim was approached by three youths in Long Wyre Street, Colchester, when the demand was made.

The teenager was asked to raise his arms so the perpetrators could reach into his trouser pocket and snatch money from inside.

Essex Police said its officers are following a “number of lines of inquiry” after the brazen trio made off with £10 last Thursday.
