A man has been arrested after a woman's phone was stolen during an altercation outside a Braintree pub.
Police received reports of an altercation between a man and a woman in Fairfield Road, outside the Picture Palace pub which took place between 10.30pm on Monday, May 15, and 12.30am on Tuesday, May 16.
During that altercation outside the Wetherspoon pub, the woman’s phone was stolen.
Soon after, officers arrested a 28-year-old man from Braintree.
He was questioned on suspicion of robbery and stalking and has been released on conditional bail.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information on the incident to come forward to help them with the probe.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We have taken a number of accounts from witnesses and we’re now asking for anyone with information on the incident who has yet to speak to us to please come forward.
