A TOTAL of 70 incidents of anti-social behaviour were reported to the police in Colchester during March, figures reveal.
The latest data from Essex Police shows each incident recorded across the borough by its officers.
Police officers were told at least 70 times about anti-social behaviour by concerned callers throughout March.
Addresses where concerns were raised include city centre sites Church Street, Balkerne Gardens and Culver Street West.
Reports were also made about behaviour in Stanwell Street, Trinity Street and Ipswich Road.
Allegations made on the Greenstead estate included Wheeler Close, Buffett Way, Hunwicke Road and Bennett Court.
It comes as Colchester’s district commander Colin Cox said the city’s residents have his commitment to continue work to tackle anti-social behaviour.
“We will ensure we continue to maintain a visible police presence in any areas where reports of such behaviour persist,” he added.
The offending has dropped over the past six years, according to further figures.
In the year to the end of April 2018, officers recorded 5,310 incidents of anti-social behaviour.
The number has decreased in the 12 months to April this year, with 2,066 incidents recorded.
