ESSEX officers are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a French Bulldog which was stolen in a house burglary in Halstead.

The incident occurred on May 24, when officers responded to reports of an aggravated burglary near Winston Way at approximately 8.20am.

During the break-in, the perpetrators absconded with the victim's beloved lilac and tan French Bulldog, Pearl.

In response, an immediate investigation was launched, and officers conducted extensive searches in an effort to locate the missing pet.

In connection with the ongoing investigation, two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

However, they have since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Essex Police is now reaching out to the community, seeking any information that may aid in the safe recovery of Pearl and contribute to the ongoing investigation.
