AN inconsiderate motorist has been banned from driving after a close call with a cyclist.
Edward Hennebry, 53, drove a Honda Civic within the recommended 1.4 metre gap from a cyclist in London Road, Stanway, on December 14, 2021.
An offence of driving without reasonable consideration for other road users was proven in Hennebry’s absence at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
Hennebry, of Frank Clater Close, Colchester, was banned from driving for six months.
He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £366 in costs and a victim surcharge.
