FLOWERS have been laid in memory of a man who was tragically killed following a crash in Colchester.
Emergency services from all departments attended Greenstead Roundabout last Friday after a road incident near the junction with Avon Way, Colchester.
Upon arrival police, firefighters and paramedics closed its north and east side between St Andrew’s Avenue and Clingoe Hill for several hours.
The ambulance service later confirmed a man - who has not yet been formally named by police - had suffered a medical episode whilst he was driving before dying at the scene.
In the days after the incident friends and relatives gathered near the scene of the crash to lay flowers and messages in memory of the beloved man.
There has also been an outpouring of tributes on social media from loved ones and those who knew him best.
Tim Young, Colchester councillor for Greenstead, has also since praised those who responded to the incident.
“The emergency services were giving lots of attention to those involved," he said.
“I would also say a huge thanks to the emergency services who were there very quickly.”
