COULD Colchester United be about to make a move for goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott?
The 26-year-old, who has played under U's head coach Ben Garner at both Charlton Athletic and Swindon Town, is said to want regular football in his pursuit of a place in Ghana’s international squad.
The South London Press state that while the League One club would be perfectly happy to keep Wollacott, they will also listen to any acceptable approaches.
And that could prompt Colchester to make their move for the former Bristol City shot-stopper, who still has two years to run on his contract at The Valley.
Wollacott first played under Garner at Swindon in the 2021/22 season, making 37 appearances as the Robins made the League Two play-offs.
He enjoyed an impressive season and was named in the League Two Team of the Season, following some fine performances.

And when Garner quit Swindon to take over at Charlton in June 2022, he made Wollacott one of his first signings.
After joining the Addicks last summer, Wollacott was quick to cite Garner as a big reason for him signing.
He told the Charlton website: "Ben being here made it an easy decision. We had a really good season last year.
"Obviously I know how he wants to play and I know how he wants his goalkeeper to play.
"I feel like, for the next step in my career, he can really develop my game."
Wollacott played virtually every game for Charlton in the opening months of the season but broke a finger in the warm-up prior to a game against Burton Albion last November and Garner left Charlton, the following month.

Wollacott did not appear again for the Addicks' first team for the rest of the season, with Ashley Maynard-Brewer establishing himself as their first-choice keeper under Dean Holden.
Colchester are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper to compete with Sam Hornby and Ted Collins, following Kieran O'Hara's departure at the end of last season.
Tom Smith, who played six games on loan at the U's at the end of last season, was yesterday released by Arsenal.
