A TOWN road is set to close for more than two weeks.
Mill Street in Brightlingsea will shut from a point south west of its junction with East End Green for a in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on July 18 for 15 days and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while permanent reinstatement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
- Elsewhere in north Essex, a small village road is closing for more than three weeks.
Packards Lane in Wormingford is shutting from the junction with Fordham Road in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on July 4 for 24 days while section 50 water connection works are undertaken by Utility Installation Projects Limited.
- A trio of Colchester roads are facing short closures next month.
Firstly, on July 6, Derwent Road will be closing from its junction with Highwoods Close to its junction with Tony Webb Close.
The closure is scheduled to commence last for five days while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Later in the month, on July 17, Sussex Road will be shutting for three days.
It will close from its junction with Lexden Road to its junction with Endsleigh Court.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Lastly, one day later on July 18, Queen Elizabeth Way will close to drivers from its junction with Mersea Road to its junction with Monkwick Avenue.
The closure is scheduled to last for four days while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
- In a mid Essex town, three lengthy road closures are set to hit drivers due to duct installation works being undertaken by UK Power Networks.
Firstly, on July 3, two closures are coming.
Shardloes Lane in Cressing will close from its junction with Church Road to its junction with Boars Tye Road.
The closure is scheduled to last for 60 days.
Also coming on the same day, is a lengthy set of night closures.
Braintree Road in Cressing will close from its junction with Cressing Road Roundabout to its junction with Mill Lane.
The closure is scheduled to last for 68 nights from 8pm to 6am.
Cressing is to be hit with another lengthy road closure on July 20.
Polecat Road will shut from its junction with Witham Road to its junctions with The Street and Church Road.
The closure is scheduled to last for 64 days again while duct installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Links Road in Bradwell will close from its junction with Boars Tye Road to its junction with Hollies Road.
The closure is scheduled to commence on July 20 for 85 days while duct installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
- In the Maldon district, two roads in Ulting are set to be hit with small closures.
Crouchmans Farm Road will close from a point north west of its junction with Ulting Church Road in a north westerly then north easterly direction.
Bumfords Lane will also be shutting from its junction with Crouchmans Farm Road in a westerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on July 17 for just two days and are required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
