COLCHESTER United are currently preparing for the new League Two season.

The U's have just discovered their fixtures for the 2023-24 campaign, which will kick off with a home game against Swindon Town, on August 5.

Ben Garner's side will be striving to compete at the top end of the table, following three successive seasons of struggle in League Two.

And they are being tipped to avoid the dreaded drop by the supercomputer.

The supercomputer via BonusCodeBets has predicted the outcome of the 2022/23 League Two table by formulating a range of informative outright odds markets.

It has predicted that the U's will finish in 20th place - three places above the relegation zone.

According to the supercomputer, Morecambe and Harrogate Town will drop out of the Football League, with Crawley Town surviving relegation by finishing 22nd and Crewe finishing just below the U's, in 21st.

It predicts Barrow, Sutton, Newport, AFC Wimbledon, Walsall, Grimsby and Forest Green will achieve a comfortable bottom-half finish.

At the other end of the table, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney will be toasting a second successive promotion according to the latest forecast that reveals Phil Parkinson's Wrexham will win League Two.

Stockport and Notts County will join Wrexham in achieving automatic promotion, while Bradford, Gillingham, Mansfield and Milton Keynes Dons will battle for the final promotion place in the play-offs.

Salford City will just miss out on a play-off spot by ending the season in eighth according to the supercomputer, joining Doncaster, Swindon, Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley in achieving a top-half finish.
