FORMER Colchester United right-back Ryan Jackson has signed for League Two side Sutton United.
The 32-year-old has joined Matt Gray's side after leaving League One side Cheltenham Town, upon the expiry of his contract.
Jackson was offered a new deal by Cheltenham but has opted to move on to pastures new.

Writing on social media, Jackson said: 'A year I’ll never forget at such a special club but my time at @CTFCofficial has come to an end, I’d like to thank all staff, my teammates and most of all you Robins fans for welcoming me and your support throughout my time here.

Jackson spent three seasons with Colchester, having joined them from the Gills in the summer of 2017.
The experienced full-back made 140 appearances in all competitions for the U's, helping them reach the League Two play-offs under John McGreal in 2020.

Jackson made 37 appearances for Gillingham in the 2021-22 season, as they were relegated from League One following defeat to Rotherham United on the final day of the campaign.
In total, he made 88 league and cup appearances in his second spell for the Gills after joining them from Colchester in the summer of 2020.

In total, Jackson made 43 appearances for Cheltenham in all competitions, after joining them on a free transfer last summer.
He also registered the most assists of any player in the Robins squad, in the last campaign.
