A MAN was taken to hospital with facial injuries after a vicious assault.
A 41-year-old woman is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent following the incident on Thursday evening.
Essex Police has urged anyone who may have witnessed the attack, in Mersea Road, Peldon, to come forward.
A force spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Peldon.
“It was reported a 38-year-old man was assaulted in Mersea Road, Peldon, at around 8pm on Thursday, July 6.
“He sustained injuries to his face and was taken to hospital for treatment."

They continued: “A 41-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH with intent and is currently in custody.
“Our inquiries are ongoing and we need anyone who saw or heard anything to contact us.
“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.”
