During the meeting, Mr Jowers presented a special gift to the Colchester Museums on behalf of the friends.
The gift consisted of a sketch of St Botolph's Priory by the renowned artist John Constable, along with a photograph showcasing works on a building in High Street dating back to approximately 1912.
The sketch was first spotted by a lady from Colchester, who happened to work at a London auction house.
During the meeting, attendees were treated to an engaging talk on Old Heath, a significant topic in Colchester's history.
