COLCHESTER United have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace's highly-rated young goalkeeper Owen Goodman.

Canada-raised Goodman, who was born in Essex, signed a professional contract with the Eagles when he was 17 years old.

The 6'4' goalkeeper is yet to make his first-team debut for Palace but has been an unused substitute for them on a number of occasions.
Goodman, who is an England under-20 international, was also on the bench for games against Arsenal, Brighton and Hove Albion and Southampton, in the 2022-23 season.
He clocked up 20 appearances for Palace in Premier League 2, last season.
