OFFICERS investigating an incident in Colchester are asking for witnesses and dashcam footage.
The incident was reported by a woman shortly after 4.30am on Saturday, July 15, prompting a swift response from authorities.
A victim reported that she had been raped and is being supported by specialist officers.
The authorities are dedicated to conducting a thorough investigation to establish the facts surrounding the incident.

Detective Chief Inspector Rob Huddleston said: "Officers are carrying out enquiries in the Abbey Fields area of Colchester to establish the facts.
"At this time, we do not believe there is a risk to the wider community.
"But I’d like to ask anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us with any information they may have that will help our investigation.
"I’d particularly like to ask anyone who has dash cam and was in this area of Colchester in the early hours of the morning on Saturday to check the footage to see if they have captured anything that would help us."
