A MAJOR road has been closed during rush hour due to an ongoing incident.
One lane of the A12 Colchester-bound has been closed between Junction 24 for Kelvedon North and Junction 25 for Marks Tey.
This is due to a vehicle fire.

Traffic is slow on the Colchester-bound carriageway, with traffic queueing back to Junction 22 for Witham North.
Nationla Highways has said there are delays of at least 45 minutes above normal travel times.
"Please allow extra time for your journey", a spokesman has said.
It is also slow on the London-bound carriageway back into the ongoing roadworks at Junction 26 for Stanway.
Emergency services have been on the scene.
A spokesman for Essex Roads Policing said: "Essex Roads Policing alongside Essex Fire have been dealing with a vehicle fire on the A12 Northbound between Junction 24 for Feering and Junction 25 for Marks Tey.
"One lane is now open but long delays.
"Avoid the area whilst we sort it."
An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: “Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire on the A12 Northbound between Kelvedon and Marks Tey this morning.
“On arrival, crews reported that a car was 100 per cent in one of the live lanes.
"Crews worked to extinguish the fire by 8.04am.”
UPDATE - All lanes have reopened as of 3pm.
