UPGRADES to a petrol station in Colchester mean the facility will remain closed over the weekend.
The Hythe petrol station, which is at the Tesco superstore, has been shut since Sunday and will re-open at 6am on Monday.
It means the nearest petrol station for drivers is the Texaco forecourt in Mersea Road.
A spokesman for Tesco has said the petrol station has been closed because upgrade works are taking place.
He said: "The petrol filling station at our Colchester Hythe superstore will reopen on Monday once we have carried out a replacement of the electrics at the site as part of an upgrade programme."
