A feel-good soul band is preparing to play their iconic songs to audiences in Colchester.
For the first time in their careers, Shalamar will perform their platinum-selling album, Friends, in its entirety to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The Friends 40th Anniversary Tour will be coming to Charter Hall on the December 10.
Newest member, Carolyn, said: “I can’t wait for the ‘Friends’ tour. This will be amazing.”
Audiences at Charter Hall will get to enjoy some of the biggest songs off the album, such as, A Night To Remember, I Can Make You Feel Good and other hits like Take That To The Bank and Make That Move.
Michelle Burrows, Colchester Councilk's Holder for culture boss, said: “It’s so exciting to be welcoming Shalamar to Colchester for a show which will delight music lovers across Colchester and the wider region."
They will also be supported by one of Britain’s most revered ladies of soul, Jaki Graham.
Ms Burrows adds: "Having international stars of Shalamar’s calibre perform in Colchester is great for residents and also boosts visitor numbers to support the local economy.
"We look forward to welcoming Shalamar to the city for another fantastic event within Colchester’s Year of Celebration calendar.”
