A BUSINESS based in Tiptree has been given multiple prestigious awards for the quality of its products produced in Essex.
Thursday Cottage, based at Trewlands Farm in Tiptree, has been awarded four Great Taste Awards for its products.
The manufacturer produces its jams, curds and spreads at the Tiptree site as part of the Wilkin and Sons family.
The company won a Great Taste three-star award for the produce it produces for English Heritage under their label, Toffee Apple Curd.
The remaining three awards were for Thursday Cottage’s own branded products which was a two-star award for its Passionfruit Curd, a one-star award for its Salted Caramel Spread and one star for its Chocolate Caramel Spread.
The company is proud to have received the awards and will be displaying the Great Taste Awards logo on the next batches of these products.
A spokesman for Thursday Cottage said: “We are thrilled to announce that four of the products we produce won Great Taste Awards this year.
“Great Taste Awards in the food and drink industry are very prestigious.
“Products that show an award logo on their labels prove that they have been tried and tested by proper foodie experts and given a stamp of approval for their quality.
“Expert judges take into account the flavour, aroma, consistency, colour as well as many other aspects when judging products entered into the Great Taste Awards, so products need to boast amazing quality in order to win an award.”
