A WOMAN has been fined hundreds of pounds and given six points on her licence after being found guilty of a motoring offence on Christmas Eve.
Vicky Meechan, of Clacton Road, Elmstead, was found guilty by magistrates at Chelmsford Magistrates Court earlier this month for driving whilst using a handheld mobile phone.
The 34-year-old had been driving her Ford Fiesta on the M25 on Christmas Eve when she was caught by Essex Police.
Magistrates at Chelmsford proved the case in Meechan’s absence, fining her £398 and endorsing her licence with six penalty points.
