SCHOOL bosses at a village in Colchester have said they are "very proud" of their students after they achieved top marks in their A levels.
Students at Thurstable School in Tiptree have secured a variety of top grades in their latest examinations.
Hani Zemmiri achieved an A* in Mathematics, an A grade in Further Mathematics and a B in Physics. Hani will be going to Essex University to study Mathematics with Physics.
Harry Joshua secured A grades in Mathematics and Physics and a B grade in Further Mathematics and will be heading to the University of Bristol to study Physics.
Isabelle Rayner achieved an A grade in Criminology, a Distinction* in Performing Arts, an A* in EPQ and a B grade in Psychology. Isabelle is going to Essex University to study Criminology with Social Psychology.
Daniel Prime’s grades included an A grade in Mathematics, a Distinction* in ICT, an A* in EPQ and a B grade in History. Daniel is going to the University of Loughborough to study Automotive Engineering (with a placement year in industry).
Having secured a triple Distinction* in BTEC Sports Coaching and Development Nicole Carding is taking a working gap year before possibly going onto to study Music Technology at university.
Harry Conway and Malone Vanstone also achieved a triple Distinction* in BTEC Sports Coaching and Development. Harry is currently seeking full-time employment in the sports industry and Malone is heading to the United States on a Football Scholarship.
Shane Challis’ grades included a triple Distinction in BTEC ICT and a B grade in Mathematics and he is going to Essex University to study Mechatronic Systems.
Grace Sheldrick achieved an A grade in Criminology and Distinctions in Performing Arts and Business and is going to Essex University to study Events Management.
Headteacher, James Ketley said: “We congratulate each and every one of our students who with these A level and BTEC results will now be moving onto a broad range of destinations from universities both in the UK and abroad, apprenticeships and work places.
“We wish them the very best of luck in their future endeavours and are very proud of their achievements.”
