A ROAD in Colchester is set to be hit with a new no-waiting restriction in September.
Titania Close will see new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions from a point approximately 14 metres southeast of its junction with Avon Way, in a south-easterly direction for approximately 20 metres.
The order will come into operation on September 8.
- Elsewhere in Colchester, a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction is coming to a road for three days.
The temporary restriction will hit Maldon Road from its junction with Capel Road to its junction with Cambridge Road.
It will suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions.
The restriction is scheduled to commence on September 25 for three days while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council to enable the use of traffic signals safely.
- A near-week of night closures is coming to a road in Tiptree.
Church Road will shut from its junction with Rectory Road to its junction with New Road.
The closure is scheduled to commence on September 28 for six nights from 7.30pm to 5am.
It is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway and cycleway works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
- Another multi-day closure is coming to a road in Tendring.
Church Road in Little Bromley will close for five days.
This will be from its junction with Spratts Lane in a north easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on September 25 for five days and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
- In Clacton, three roads are to be hit with temporary closures on the same day.
On September 11, Lake Walk, Lymington Avenue and Pier Avenue are all set to close.
Lake Walk will be shutting from its junction with St Osyth Road in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled three days while stoptap replacement/meter installation works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
Lymington Avenue will be closing from its junction with Thorpe Road to its junction with Chilburn Road.
The closure is scheduled for four days and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
Lastly, Pier Avenue will see a closure from its junction with Rosemary Road to its other junction with Rosemary Road for five days.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while lighting column installation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
- A muti-week overnight closure is coming to a road in the Braintree district.
Braintree Road and Cressing Road will close from the junction with Cressing Road Roundabout to the junction with Mill Lane a distance.
The closure is scheduled to commence on September 11 for 67 nights, from 8pm to 6am.
It is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
- Elsewhere in the district, Feering is facing a trio of road closures due to duct laying works being undertaken by Gigaclear.
Firstly, New Lane will shut from its junction with London Road to its junction with Hanover Bridge.
The closure is scheduled to commence on September 13 for two days.
On September 15, Hanover Square will close from a point north east of the junction with Coggeshall Road in a north easterly direction.
This is scheduled for four days.
Lastly, on September 19, The Street will close from its junction with Coggeshall Road to its junction with Hanover Square for three days.
