COLCHESTER United have re-signed winger Owura Edwards on a permanent basis.
The 22-year-old, who enjoyed a productive loan spell with the U's in the 2021-22 season, has joined Colchester for an undisclosed fee from Bristol City.
Edwards made 13 appearances for Colchester while on loan at the JobServe Community Stadium, scoring three times.
His loan spell was cut short by injury but he made a positive impression in his short spell, in North Essex.

And now Colchester have moved to sign Edwards on a permanent basis, from the Championship club.
Edwards, who will wear the number 11 shirt for Colchester, played on loan at Scottish Premiership side Ross County last season, making 36 appearances.
He is not available to play for Colchester in their game at Walsall tomorrow.
Edwards is Colchester's fourth deadline day capture, following Jay Mingi, Zach Mitchell and Yassine En-Neyah in signing for the club.
