FOUR popular comedians will perform at a Colchester venue later this year.

The Mercury Theatre, in Balkerne Gate, Colchester, will host a night of laughter and tomfoolery when The Comedy Club On The Road returns on October 21.

Fans of stand-up comedy will be able to watch sets from the hand-picked line-up of comedians, including Kevin McCarthy, Nathan Canton, Fiona Allen, and Mike McClean.

Kevin McCarthy is well known as an “ever changing act” that has the “ability to find humour in any subject.” He has also previously supported the nationally recognised entertainer, Lee Evans.

Nathan Canton, meanwhile, has been dubbed “one of the most exciting young comedians” and has appeared on TV shows such as Mock The Week and Russell Howard’s Good News.

Fiona Allen is an Emmy-award winning actor and comedian who has appeared in Channel 4’s Smack The Pony and in television dramas such as Coronation Street, to name a few.

Finally, Mike McClean is best known as a presenter, actor and comedian. The entertainer has appeared in a show alongside Ricky Gervais.

Ticket prices range from £20 to £25 and doors open for the event at 7.30pm.
