A VAUXHALL driver who sped at 111mph for almost one mile has been allowed to keep his licence.
Jordon Rumbelow, also known as Bird, drove at the reckless speed for one kilometre on the A130 at Chelmsford.
Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court heard he was driving a Vauxhall Meriva Active on the 70mph road on August 30 last year.
Rumbelow, of North Wharf Close, Rowhedge, admitted the offence.
He was fined £666 and ordered to pay an extra £374 in costs and a surcharge.
The defendant’s driving licence was endorsed with eight points.
